Zodiem vs Karumi

By the Zodiem team · Published September 2026 · Updated November 3, 2026

Karumi is a live-video AI demo agent platform. Both Karumi and Zodiem put an AI agent in front of website visitors to run product demos automatically, so this is a comparison people evaluating either category naturally ask for. Everything below is drawn from Karumi's own public pages (linked in Sources), not from assumptions about how they work internally.

TL;DR: Zodiem's Starter plan is $249/month; Karumi's only published plan starts at $900/month. Karumi shows a live video call and already logs transcripts directly into a CRM; Zodiem shows a real, visible browser window and currently exposes leads via a local API, with direct CRM push on the roadmap. Karumi publishes SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR compliance today; Zodiem doesn't hold those yet.

Demo format Live video call, available 24/7, embeddable on landing pages, in-app, or via outbound email. Karumi's own pages don't specify whether the visitor sees an avatar/face or a voice-plus-screen format. Live voice conversation plus a real, visible browser window the agent navigates on screen. No video call or avatar.
Browser / product navigation Demos "adapt to each customer's needs and context" and stay "up to date with your product," per Karumi's homepage. The page doesn't describe the underlying mechanism. Runs on a real headless browser (Playwright) that clicks, scrolls, and fills forms in the actual product, which the visitor watches happen live.
Languages Self-Serve plan is listed as 1 language; Karumi's homepage separately advertises "multilingual conversations in a click" without specifying which tier that applies to. English at launch. Multi-language support is on the roadmap, not yet shipped.Roadmap
CRM / lead routing "Transcripts, analysis, and next steps are logged directly into your CRM," per Karumi's homepage. Captured leads and full transcripts are available via a local API today; direct CRM push (HubSpot/Salesforce) is on the roadmap.Roadmap
Pricing Self-Serve: $900/month for 1 agent, 1 language, 3 seats, agent builder, CRM data export, and MCP connection. Enterprise: custom pricing. Starter: $249/month (50 engaged demos/mo). Growth: $750/month (100/mo). Scale: $2,083/month (300/mo). Enterprise: custom. SOC 2 and SSO are on the roadmap, not tied to a specific tier yet.
Security / compliance States GDPR, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 compliance, plus role-based access control, on its homepage. Not yet certified. SOC 2, ISO 27001, formal GDPR/HIPAA certification, role-based access control, SSO, and data residency are all on the roadmap, not audited or shipped today. See our security section for the exact breakdown of what's real versus planned.
Performance claims States "lowest latency in the market" and "high-availability infrastructure designed to prevent downtime" on its homepage. We haven't published latency or uptime benchmarks yet and won't claim numbers we can't back up.

Where the two differ most plainly

The clearest, verifiable difference is pricing: Karumi's only published plan starts at $900/month for a single agent and language, while Zodiem's published tiers start at $249/month. On compliance, Karumi publishes SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR compliance on its homepage; Zodiem does not hold these certifications yet. SOC 2, ISO 27001, formal GDPR/HIPAA, and role-based access control are all on Zodiem's roadmap, not achieved today.

Karumi frames its offering as a "live video call"; Zodiem is voice-plus-visible-browser-navigation. Karumi's own materials don't specify whether their video call includes an avatar, a real human-like face, or is closer to voice-and-screen. We could not verify that detail, so we're not claiming a difference here that we can't confirm.

When Karumi might be the better fit

If live, compliance-ready CRM logging and formal security certifications (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR) matter today, not on a roadmap, Karumi's published claims cover that ground now. If multilingual coverage beyond English is a hard requirement at launch, Karumi's homepage advertises it, though it doesn't specify which pricing tier includes it.

When Zodiem might be the better fit

If a lower entry price matters, Zodiem's $249/month Starter plan has no equivalent in Karumi's published pricing, which starts at $900/month. If you'd rather a visitor see your actual product being clicked through live, rather than a video-call format whose underlying mechanism Karumi doesn't fully disclose, Zodiem's real browser navigation is the more transparent model to evaluate.
